Nope, we don't cover our pool. we don't have any trees with leaves in the backyard so we don't get a bunch of crapola in the pool. It makes it way easier to get ready in the spring, and plus it looks pretty when it snows! It never (famous last words) gets cold enough to worry about the pipes freezing for our pool, but it did go down to 8 degrees or so a few nights ago. But the pool didn't even ice over. No worries!
A shot of our house from the corner. We were some of the first to be out this morning and made all but one set of the first footprints in the snow. You would think we'd have a fire blazing in one of the fireplaces, but the opening is really big and lets in more cold air than it creates hot air. We're depending on the heater! We have gas heat, but the electricity didn't go out anyway.
Here is our patio furniture! Thankfully we had the foresight a few weeks ago to take off the cushions. It looks like the chairs are just sitting on the ground, but they are normal sized, I promise! We are still trying to figure out what to do about the gazebo area on our patio. We are thinking about making a real roof there, but can't decide... hmmm..
Spunky went out for a little bit with us. He was so curious about that white stuff, but he didn't like it! He wanted to come back inside right away (duh!) When he got back in he took off for under the bed to clean himself up and get warm. He won't go near John anymore because he's the one that threw Spunky outside! Silly boys.
