Vacation!

So we went to Disney! All last week (Saturday-Saturday) we were enjoying fun in the sun in Florida! Quick recap, Saturday Feb 26 we arrived around 4 and went to the "Fit For a Princess Expo" so I could pick up my bib to run the Disney's Princess Half Marathon. Ran that on Sunday morning with my buddy Christina!

After the race Sunday, we went to our first of 4 Braves' Spring Training games. A lot of this happened...

On Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday. On Monday, Christina and I went to Hollywood Studios to meet our friend Elizabeth (she works for Disney) and bought her baby a Tigger hat... they had no other worthy hats for newborns.

Isn't that precious? We went to a crazy restaurant called T-Rex for dinner on Monday. It was a prehistoric themed restaurant where there was a meteor shower ever 15 minutes or so.

On Tuesday, we did some schoolwork (boo!) but met our friends Glenn and Trina for dinner in Downtown Disney at Planet Hollywood. ESPN The Weekend was also there so I snapped some pics of that.

This is the actual "Jenny" ship from Forrest Gump

Acting like a goober in front of a SportsCenter sign.

Wednesday, we went back to Hollywood Studios to see Elizabeth (Christina was gone now, so it was me and hubs) and rode Rock N Roller Coaster a couple times before heading over to Epcot to walk all around the world! Neither of us took our cameras, but we were on our feet from 8:30AM-1PM walking walking walking. It was fun!

Thursday and Friday were mostly spent at the ballpark. Thursday John got to "meet" Martin Prado, one of his favorite players.

We stalked him taking batting practice about 30 minutes before the game.

So that was our vacation in a nutshell. We didn't spend a ton of time at Disney parks even though we stayed on property. The main goals of our vacation were the race and spring training, which we definitely accomplished! We didn't rent a car or anything and were able to get to ESPN Wide World of Sports for the games pretty easily on the Disney buses. Highly recommend! We are already making plans to do it again next year! So much fun. Weather was perfect, high of 80-85 everyday and it only rained for half a day once!

Who's with us for next year?

I think I need to go with you next year just so I can take a picture in front of the Jenny boat.
